On August 5, 2015, the Ohio EPA requested assistance from EPA Region 5 at the Wagner Ware Site in Sidney, Ohio. Ohio EPA received a citizen complaint of leaking transformers at the abandoned facility due to vandalism.

EPA conducted a Site Investigation at the Site on August 27, 2015. Additional extent of contamination samples were collected at the Site on October 21, 2015.

A removal action was initiated on August 8, 2016.

The removal action was completed on December 12, 2016.
