EPA Region 6 received notification from the National Response Center (NRC Report #1265521) for a spill of approximately 2900 gallons of diesel fuel from a tanker truck near Wilmer, Dallas County, Texas. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) responded as well as the local Fire Department Hazmat Unit. The NRC report was updated (Report #1265551) to include the potential discharge to an unnamed tributary leading to Ten Mile Creek. The driver was transported to a hospital for injuries. A cleanup contractor has been hired and cleanup is underway.

An EPA team has been mobilized to assess site conditions and determine impacts to waterways. EPA is coordinating with TCEQ and DOI.
